How it works
The Packraft online courses ( IPIA ) offer a series of curriculum levels designed to improve your packrafting skills and knowledge. This will be facilitating the development of special skills, and also provides a pathway to becoming a packrafting professional.
Each curriculum level has both an online course and a practical training requirement. The online course is available from this website and is taken prior to attending the practical training sessions. They are offered by IPIA instructors around the world.
The packraft online course can be taken as a stand-alone course for those without access to the practical training. It is highly recommended that you seek professional practical training as this will give you the full value of the course.
Packraft Online Course
Firstly the packraft online course contains a series of lessons that teach the theory behind the relevant aspects of packrafting for the given curriculum level. Secondly lessons are reinforced by a knowledge quiz and a final exam is required to earn the Online Course Certificate of Completion.

The Practical Training
The two day hands-on workshop, which is taught by a qualified IPIA instructor will put the theory into practice. All lessons are scaffolded to optimize learning, and comfort, and safety. Above all, successful students will earn a full IPIA backed certification at a level of their training.
